1. Coven Collective

Astrology Wall Art Decor

MY SUN, MOON & STARS – Astrology and little people.

CHILD Astrology Natal Chart Art & Report Booklet Bundle

There are very few interior decor items around that are both meaningful AND stunning works of art. The Coven Collective produces breathtaking art prints specifically customised to your baby’s astrology sign, based on his or her exact time of birth.

The elegant presentation of the art includes real foiling (you can choose from gold, silver and copper colour), adding a delicate touch of sophistication to the masterpiece. You can also order the art print with a booklet that explains your baby’s star sign. They also do wedding, marriage, and adult astrology pieces.

3. Ruby Baby Designs

Heirlooms Created With Memory Items

Award winning leader in handmade keepsakes of Modern Heirloom Cloth Dolls and Decor.

Have you ever received a family heirloom? Or a keepsake from your great-grandparents? It’s a rare thing these days, and I wish we had one in the family.

Ruby Baby Designs is an award-winning maker of heirloom dolls, each one handmade with love and crafted for lifelong memories. They specialise in using memory items of loved ones, such as baby clothing, wedding attire, wedding flowers, ceremony flowers, preserved breastmilk, locks of hair, cremation ashes etc.

These precious belongings can be crafted into beautiful Resin Jewellery or their signature Dolls and Decor, adding an immeasurable amount of value and memories to your keepsake.

In a market dominated by lace, frills, and pink for girls, what I especially love about their collections is that they have quite a few gender neutral designs. Their adorable Daisy & Duke dinosaur collection caters well to the vivid imagination of little boys.

If you’re a lover of timeless classics, this is one shop you cannot go past.

I am particularly fond of their bamboo Growth Chart with its intricate laser cutting and fine details.

5. Willow & Belle

Handcrafted Baby Name Wooden Plaques

Earthy, neutral tones are all the rage now with nursery styling. But personally, I still prefer bright dashes of colour, or a swirl of pastel, which is why Willow & Belle instantly stood out to me with their fun, colourful pieces.

Their Paint-Dipped Name Plaques are customisable with a wide range of embellishments and colours to choose from. You can also select your preferred type of timber – blackwood, maple, or bamboo.

Stylish Nursery Decals, Decor & Prints

MAGICAL SPACES – Pieces that showcase the inner child in all of us.

Based in Perth, Verde Baby stocks a curated selection of stylish decor items that are ethically made. Their products are primarily geared towards little girls’ rooms, with plenty of champagne, pink, and white colours to create your own fairytale.

However, I did find a few lovely gender neutral walls decals and art prints that I wouldn’t mind having for my boys’ room.

7. Paper Flowers & Co AU

Handmade Paper Flower Wall Decor

Delicately handmade blooms for longer lasting memories.

Newly established in August 2018, Paper Flowers & Co offers breathtaking flower pieces that are also great for baby photography props or wedding events.

Folded with love from high-quality designer paper, the florals boast a range of delightful colours and are made to last. Unlike plastic flowers, these paper ones are environmentally friendly and I find beauty in the ephemeral nature of this material.

The creator, Kai Ying, also takes custom orders so you can easily coordinate your own colours and tailor something that suits your budget.

8. Tol & Mak

Wooden Baby Name Scrabble Blocks

Handmade with exceptional attention to detail… beautifully crafted and original.

9 x 9cm [3cm thick] WOODEN SCRABBLE BLOCKS

Last but not least, is it obvious yet that I have a soft spot for fun colours? All the Wooden Scrabble Blocks from Tol and Mak are available as paint-dipped, with an amazing selection of colours enough to tempt the designer in me.

I particularly love the concept of using scrabble blocks as decor items. Once the baby gets a bit older, they are great as learning tools (note that they are NOT meant to be used as toys). Long term, multifunction use for anything is always a bonus for the financially savvy mum!

Apart from colours and letters, you can also choose your preferred font (round or square). You can also do custom orders, so the possibilities are endless! Made from natural timber and hand sanded for extra smoothness, these blocks are made to last for years.
